Afraid (2024)

Finally, a movie that expounds the virtues and benefits of artifical intelligence without yielding to the paranoia that every single other film on the subject eventually succumbs to.

Sorry, not really. Computers are evil and are not to be trusted.

Still.

So no points for originality whatsoever and the innovative quantum technological dick-waving promised by this new AI remains to be judged on their makers. Fallible, weak, unreliable puny humans. Those same people that see pictures in the clouds, or Jesus in their toast and argue just exactly what colour that dress really is, whether Madonna should be allowed to behave on stage the way she does at sixty years of age, whether five hundred dollars for a concert ticket represents value for money.

The same people that still believe that we are vistied by aliens despite literally everyone having a phone in their pocket, yet no real photographic evidence to back it up. Those god-fearing paedophiles that 'serve' themselves before the deity they represent and their aptly named 'flocks' that believe whatever they are told to believe, just because they think they are being listened to by a greater thing that if really exists, has certainly better things to do than to hear their petty, selfish, inconsequential, insignifiant prayers, like killing innocent children, empowering tyrants and freeing murderers.

That's okay. Believe what you want about whatever you want to. You're afrAId. I get it.

This film is shit.
